A grid-connected photovoltaic power system, or grid-connected PV system is an electricity generating solar PV system which is connected to the utility grid. This consists of solar panels, one or several inverters, a power conditioning unit and grid connection equipment. When solar panels generate more electricity than the owner can use during the day -Net metering is an agreement that allows to sell excess solar energy to the utility company or buy deficit energy from the utility company using a meter to track this energy exchange.
